Section 70-2.1 of 10 NYCRR Part 70, requires all (Article 28_[4] and Article 5) facilities to develop, document and implement policies and procedure specific to the management of regulated medical waste generated on-site and/or treated at the facility. 

The plan should be submitted to the Wadsworth Center's Regulated Medical Waste Program for review. 

Facilities that treat regulated medical waste on-site shall include in their regulated medical waste management plan and operation plan for each treatment system employed.
