Denise DuBois

Driven by a passion for protecting natural resources, particularly drinking water, and a longstanding aspiration to work at the Wadsworth Center, Ms. DuBois joined the center in 2008. As the Assistant Director of the Division of Environmental Health Sciences (DEHS), she manages public health laboratory operations spanning the Laboratory of Environmental Biology, the Laboratory of Organic Analytical Chemistry, and the Laboratory of Inorganic and Nuclear Chemistry, encompassing both environmental and cannabis analyses. Ms. DuBois brings over 25 years of experience in environmental laboratory and regulatory settings, complemented by over 10 years of experience in the analytical and regulatory aspects of cannabis testing. She was instrumental in developing and establishing the medical marijuana and adult-use cannabis programs within DEHS and remains a leader in the cannabis program. Ms. DuBois is widely recognized for her technical expertise and leadership across various DEHS programs and disciplines.
