Urea Cycle disorders are inherited disorders that affect the way a person’s body gets rid of ammonia (waste products of protien metabolsim) due to the lack of an enzyme. The inability to convert ammonia to urea causes the build up of ammonia in the blood resulting in potentially serious health problems.
