The Wadsworth Center Parasitology Laboratory serves as New York’s reference laboratory for parasitic identification. In order to help other laboratories become proficient in identifying parasites, the NYSDOH Parasitology Laboratory conducts workshops that focus on morphological characteristics specific for each clinically relevant parasite and current molecular detection methods.
